About me
Hi, I’m Hunter, the heart behind Honey & Hearth.
I was born and raised in Northeast Tennessee, in the heart of Appalachia — a place where hard work, kindness, and community are part of everyday life. Growing up there taught me the value of perseverance and the joy that comes from making others feel cared for. That same spirit continues to guide me today.
In 2021, I moved to Houston, Texas, where I now reside while traveling full-time for work in healthcare, focusing on Patient Experience. Through that work, I’ve seen how small gestures of compassion — a warm smile, a kind word, a moment of calm — can completely transform someone’s day. Honey & Hearth was born from that same belief: that comfort and connection can be shared in simple, meaningful ways.
Starting this candle business has been a journey of both challenge and fulfillment. There were long nights of testing wax blends, moments of uncertainty, and lessons learned through persistence and heart. Each Honey & Hearth candle is hand-poured with care, inspired by the cozy feeling of home and the resilience of Appalachian roots.
My hope is that when you light one of my candles, you feel that same warmth — a reminder that even in the busiest or hardest seasons of life, peace and belonging can be found in the small things that make us feel at home.
